In 2018, the Durban Chamber partnered with the MTN Business Unit, the Ernie Els Foundation, Els for Autism for the Annual Golf Day which was held at the Durban Country Club. A percentage of the proceeds revised from the golf day was donated to the foundation.

Nico van Rensburg, a South African professional golfer and former tour professional who is now part of the Ernie Els’s management team, participated at the event. Ernie Els sent a letter of thanks to each participant.
