Sharks rugby star meets fans at Toys R Us Gateway2018-02-01 South Africa’s much loved toy store, Toys R Us, kicked off the new year in high spirits, thrilling shoppers with an exclusive meet and greet session with popular Sharks rugby star, Tendai Mtawarira.
Fondly known as The Beast, eager fans rushed to the store to get up close and personal with the Springbok loosehead prop. But little did they realise that the tough powerhouse was soft at heart. He spent time interacting with the children and further engaged in an autograph signing session. “I really enjoyed connecting with fans at Toys R Us and I believe everyone needs to keep their inner kid alive. The team made it a fun visit, said Mtawarira.
Toys R Us & Babies R Us SA marketing manager, Nicole Annells said the team was delighted to host the rugby star adding that the exclusive appearance brought much joy to young fans.
