The horse enterprise consists of breeding herds of Shire, Clydesdales, Percherons, Shire cross Thoroughbreds, American Quarter horses, Arabian horses, Paint horses and our own herds of dun coloured horses and ponies.

We also offer self-catering accommodation in cottages and a cave. Penwarn makes the perfect venue for challenging teambuilding exercises, tough 4x4 orienteering, conferences, enchanting weddings or other special occasions.
Mthini Lodge is an intensely private affair. With a maximum of only eight guests, per-sonal attention is simply a matter of course. Here you can live in sumptuous colonial style with a view that will make you sing.
Mthini Lodge is perched on a hill overlooking a magnificent lake and the long barrier of indigo peaks, the Drakensberg. The four rooms, luxuriously appointed with en suite bathrooms, are uniquely decorated and each opens onto the wooden deck with its spectacular view.
Imagine the early morning mist lifting off a berg river, the trout rising... Penwarn is a premier fishing location with seven dams (one is two kilometres long) and eight kilometres of river, and 6-9 pounders are regularly hooked.
Five dams are stocked from our own trout hatchery and two are bass dams. We will supply boats and rods, and arrange a fishing clinic for those who wish to perfect the art of fly-fishing.
Tucked under century-old oak trees, the Green House is the ideal accommodation for a large group. Four bedrooms, up to 12 beds.
