The support for the athletes at the Salga KZN Games from the coaches, parents and council officials has been exceptional.
There have even been appearances from past athletes that have made it big and are now at the SALGA Games to cheer for the young athletes trying to fill their shoes. Junior heavy weight champion Zonke Douglas Sibiya was at George Campbell school supporting the up and coming boxers, giving them encouragement and advice on how to improve techniques. For such a large and in-charge man who towered over everyone, he was more than ready to stop what he was doing and help anyone in need.
