K2 Design Studio is a brand which is synonymous with passion, style and luxury. The company originally focused exclusively on jewellery design, but today implores four innovative brands: K2 Design Fine Jewellery, K2 Accessories, and K2 Design Trophies.
Khanyisile Khoza is a managing member of K2 Design Studio. She has vast experience in a variety of disciplines including a qualification in jewellery design and manufacturing, experience in managing projects, administration and information management.
K2 Design Studio was born out of the realisation that unless African countries, institutions and businesses utilize western technology and expertise with an African perspective, prospects for economic growth and development will be minimal. The need for technology, training and policies that are relevant to South Africa and the other countries in the region cannot be over emphasized. The company is 100% black women-owned and is uniquely positioned to provide technical as well as jewellery design, manufacturing professional services that are pertinent to South Africa in general and to KwaZulu-Natal.
The company was also created with an attempt to address the historical imbalances in South Africa, especially in the technical arena of delivery.
The jewellery is currently largely designed and manufactured by Khanyisile Khoza herself, who is assisted by highly qualified designers who have received years of training, honing their skills to create jewellery which carries the signature K2 Design style. K2 Design Studio has differentiated itself from other jewellery designers and manufacturers. Initially working exclusively from the comfort of her own home, the company's first clients became enchanted with the brand and withKhanya herself. Before designing a piece, Khanya ensures that each customer is completely at home and comfortable, spending some time with them to create the perfect piece. Every design pays tribute to each client's individual tastes.
K2 Design Studio aims togrowthe client list by opening a boutique. The main goal is to continue to carry out the same personalized concept and signature style as the original K2 Design Studio.
