Durban Chamber - Manufacturing Business Forum - 24 & 25 May

2016-05-18

The Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry would like to invite you to its Manufacturing Forum Meeting in which the DTI along with TIKZN, EThekwini Municipality’s EDGE and KZNedtea will be jointly presenting the Black Industrialist Scheme incentive programme amongst other presentations of programmes being carried by the partner organisations.

The Black Industrialist Scheme (BIS) incentive programme of the Black Industrialist Policy aims to promote the participation of black industrialist as manufactures in key sectors as identified in the Industrial Policy Action Plan (IPAP). BIS outlines key measures aimed at supporting majority black-owned manufacturing standards, quality and productivity improvement.

2 Day Programme:
The first day of the meeting will focus on presentations on the different Manufacturing programmes under TIKZN, EDGE, KZNedtea and specifically the Black Industrialist Scheme by the DTI.  Whilst the second day of the meeting will focus specifically on assisting companies to apply to the Black Industrials programme (facilitated by specialists from the DTI). We urge all interested companies to attend both days and start preparations on applications for the BIS programme by reading through the attached documents on the programme beforehand.
