MEDIA INVITATION

Members of the media are invited to attend the official handover of a new house to two children who lost their parents after they ate poisonous mushrooms at Ward 12, KwaNdengezi on Friday, 15 March 2013.

Last year the Mayor, Cllr James Nxumalo visited families that lost their loved ones after they had eaten the wild mushrooms and amongst those, were two children who were orphaned after both their parents died. Nxumalo had made a commitment that the Municipality would do everything in its power to assist the family.

The new house was built using alternative building technology which will soon be launched to fast track housing delivery in eThekwini.

The Mayor will be accompanied by Provincial MECs and members of the Executive Committee.
