eThekwini Municipality - Register Now for Regional Durban Business Fairs 20152015-03-11 REGISTRATION for the 2015 Regional Durban Business Fairs to be held in three regions of eThekwini is now opened for exhibitors.
Deputy Mayor and Chairperson of the Economic Development and Planning Committee in eThekwini Nomvuzo Shabalala urges all small businesses to take advantage of this newly revived initiative as it aims to expose and develop businesses at grassroots level. “Regional Durban Business Fairs will enable us as the City to facilitate broader participation in the programme. The Durban Business Fair is an important vehicle used by the City to drive business development and to create a vibrant and self-sustainable business sector. This is an opportunity for businesses within these regions to showcase their goods and services in order to access new markets and conclude business deals with potential buyers,†added Shabalala. Shabalala further added that the Regional Durban Business Fair will not just provide emerging entrepreneurs with the opportunity to promote their businesses but they will include the two days Business Indaba which will afford them a networking platform to interact with well established businesses, development agencies and funding institutions which will be on site and addressing them on various tactics towards owning a sustainable and successfully business. The Regional Durban Business Fairs will be held as follows: •The Inner and Outer West Regional Business Fair will be held on 17, 18 & 19 April 2015 at the Hammersdale Junction. It will feature a two-day Business Indaba. •The South Regional Business Fair will be on 22, 23 & 24 May 2015 at KwaMnyandu Mall and will also incorporate a two days Business Indaba •North Regional Business Fair will take place between 19, 20 & 21 June 2015 at Bridge City Shopping Centre and will feature a two-day Business Indaba. Registration is now open, and we are calling on businesses to register now as spaces are limited.
