Day 2 at 2015 African Renaissance Conference

2015-05-26

The African Renaissance 2015 conference concluded on the second day at the Durban ICC. Speakers informed the crowd about opportunities after school, focussing on bursaries and prospects for South African students that need financial assistance in pursuing their studies. Ambassadors from the German, Indian, EU embassy as well as KZN MEC of Education, Ms Peggy Nkonyeni gave insight on the many opportunities available in foreign countries, and Professors from UKZN, MUT, Zululand and Tanzania communicated that universities need to foster students with the concept of being innovative and strive to be entrepreneurs, rather than study to become an employee in a company. The overall consensus was that entrepreneurship is the way to address some of the issues facing the country.

It was a great sucess as students and delegates who attended are now more informed regarding opportunities as under graduates or post graduates.
