There are a range of scholarships available to international scholars for study in New Zealand. You may also wish to check the scholarships office of the education institution at which you wish to study.

New Zealand Development Scholarships (NZDS) give candidates from selected developing countries an opportunity to gain knowledge and skills through study in specific subject areas which will assist in the development of their home country. They are available for the following qualifications: New Zealand Commonwealth Scholarships are part of the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) - an international programme under which Commonwealth countries offer scholarships and fellowships to citizens of other Commonwealth states. Agriculture development Renewable energy

Geothermal, solar, hydroelectric and wind energy, energy engineering, renewable energy distribution systems, energy sector management/reform, including energy economics and financials

The entitlements of the Scholarship include full tuition fees, a living allowance (paid fortnightly), an establishment allowance, medical and travel insurance, travel between your home country and New
Zealand at the start and end of your scholarship, home leave or reunion travel for some eligible scholars, pastoral and academic support at your institution, and assistance with research and thesis costs for most postgraduate research students.
