Suncoast Hotel & Towers was entered into the MBA (Master Builders Association) Building Excellence Awards competition which is run annually by the MBA .  Eligible projects that are built within a specific period are entered into a competition under different categories. These projects are judged by a panel of adjudicators comprising of Architects, Engineers and Contractors from the MBA. Winners are then chosen within the various categories.

In addition to the above is the MBA has a main award of the evening called the  Supreme Excellence Award. This is a project chosen from all the entries which, in the opinion of the judges is the best entry.
The winners were announced at a gala dinner held at the ICC on Saturday evening.

Suncoast Hotel & Towers took top honours in the Recreation and Retail (above 40m) category and was the overall winner in the Supreme Excellence Award.
