The Morning Trade market -  8 Morrison Street
The Morning Trade market launches at 8 Morrison Street in Durban's Rivertown Precinct. Spearheaded by Anna of I Heart Market, she says that "The Morning Trade will focus mainly on fresh, high quality artisinal foods as well as providing a space for Durbanites to buy their groceries, top quality meats, farm fresh ingredients and delectable specialities."  The Morning Trade launches on 3 August and will happen every Sunday from 8am

Location, location, location
Nuzzled in the heart of Durban city, The Morning Trade is set in an urban factory-looking building along Morrison Street, in the Rivertown Precinct. Jonathan Liebmann and his team from Propertuity have been working hard at creating Durban’s newest community-orientated development. The first phase of the development launched together with The Morning Trade. A big number 8 lime green on the one side and orange on the other, marks the quirky looking building. The building is not hard to miss, as it stands out with funky black and white graffiti and gold trimmings.

The Market
The Morning Market offers art, farmers produce and local homemade, fresh eats and drinks. As you walk in, your eyes feast on an array of artwork, from photography, intricate beadwork, paintings and even wooden furniture. Further into the building, the hive of activity surrounds the food and drink stalls. There isn’t a food stall not worth trying, and more importantly, there is something for everyone! To name just a few, food stalls like Smith’s Bakeshop, the KuhleKudla in Howick and Caversham Croft fresh veggies, Legendairy’s handmade ice-cream, Tracey’s Artisan Craft Cheese, Creative Meats/Coltempo, the Glenwood Bakery, Tarté, freshly made food from Zak & Tonic, Green Bean Coffee, and Juice Up filled the building space up.

As people walk out, a new lot walk in; there is a true Durban hustle and bustle within 8 Morrison Street. Every Sunday, from 8am to 2pm, The Morning Trade promises to bring the best fresh farmer produce, homemade quality foods and drinks as well as artisan works, for the community to discover and enjoy.
