Outsourcing Sector Thriving in KwaZulu-Natal

2001-10-08

Rewardsco officially launched its new, 500-seat contact centre facility in River Horse Valley, near Durban, on the 25 September.

This facility will complement existing Rewardsco centres in Umhlanga, Johannesburg and the United Kingdom with new contracts for this facility currently being sourced from South Africa and the UK.

The call centre was established in order to better service Rewardsco clients and cope with the significant growth in the call centre industry.  Rewardsco clients include Eskom, Vodacom, Absa, and Old Mutual.

The growth in the industry is in line with the South African government's prioritizing of the BPO sector as part of its Accelerated and Shared Growth Initiative (Asgisa) to promote economic growth and create employment.

William Goldstone chief executive officer of KZNonSource stated that the Rewardsco's investment was a true testament to the fact that that the outsourcing business was thriving in KwaZulu-Natal and Durban.
