Dr Zweli Mkhize shares his views on KwaZulu-Natal's future.2007-10-08 The National Business Initiative (NBI) hosted a business breakfast on 07 October 2008 at which KwaZulu-Natal's MEC for Finance and Economic Development, The Honourable Dr Zweli Mkhize was guest speaker. The meeting provided NBI business members, partners and other stakeholders with an opportunity to hear Dr Mkhize's thoughts on progress and plans for this Province's future. Politics form the basis for economic
stability and growth within a country and a region. Of significance was Dr
Mkhize firm reassurance that the political change now being experienced in Aligned to his positive view of the future
is that the World Cup 2010 will provide a show case for the Province and a basis
for continued economic growth through investment. Tourism is a key growth sector
which is premised on the current infrastructure investment such as the In line with the NBI's priorities some of
the key challenges of the future revolve around energy supply issues and the
effects of climate change on the environment, which must be acknowledged in any
development planning. The ongoing promotion of skills development and education
are also priorities in the province for both the private and public sector. In
