As part of its efforts to equip small, medium and micro-sized enterprises for growth and sustainability, Proudly South African will host a business forum in Durban on Tuesday, 27 June 2017 focusing on the needs of the SMME sector.
Proudly SA invites SMME’s from around KwaZulu-Natal to join the networking session which will see agencies of government including the Department of Trade and Industry (the dti), the Small Enterprise Finance Agency (SEFA) and the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA) expand on the various financial and non-financial enterprise development opportunities which they offer to entrepreneurs and small businesses.
“We believe that the strength of South Africa’s economy depends chiefly on the success of our country’s SMMEs, therefore support for local manufacturers, entrepreneurs and service providers remains our top priority,†says Proudly SA’s Chief Marketing Officer, Happy maKhumalo Ngidi.
“As the country goes through shaky economic terrain, smaller enterprises need to be equipped with the tools to assist with their development now more than ever. Through interaction with various speakers on the programme, delegates will gain insights into issues of local procurement, learn how to obtain business funding and develop their enterprises through various offerings available to SMMEs,†she added.
In accordance with its mandate to assist in the creation of jobs and growth of the country’s economy Proudly SA’s business forums which it runs in every province are free to attend. However, limited seats are available and businesses that would like to attend are urged to sign up in advance.
