JCCI consultant, Henry Harper, CEO of Finance Link (Pty) Ltd, says that one of the biggest needs of the SME Sector is finance in all its varieties and how to procure it.

Successful business finance procurement is directly dependent on the quality of the written proposal put before credit providers. Whilst a proposal must be comprehensive and complete, it need not be long-winded. What is needed is for all answers to be provided before questions are even asked. The art of writing successful proposals for business finance procurement is to provide all the material, documents and information that any credit provider is likely to need. This will determine the speed of the outcome.

Each credit provider has its own standards and prescribed format for business finance procurement pertaining to the different types of business finance. The Finance service involves negotiating the best possible credit terms and interest rates for clients and assistance in the preparation and submission of professional and complete finance applications to the appropriate Finance House.

This includes a Business Plan and Cash Flow Projection. Fees Of prime importance is the fact that the fee is success-based, meaning …the service is offered on a no loan â€" no fee basis. Approval Time: Approval times depend on the type of finance applied for. Subsequent to the submission of full and complete applications, this can vary from a few days to a few weeks.
