Ms Anja Pauls, the representative for the German Federal  Ministry for Economic Cooperation (BMZ), visited the Global Business Accelerator’s market day on the 23 March 2018.

Ms Anja Pauls is the BMZ representative for the Employment for Sustainable Development in Africa (E4D)
programme, which works with the private sector in partnership with business by developing projects to increase income, improve working conditions and to create job opportunities.

The E4D programme provides funding to The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), which is a federal enterprise with worldwide operations in 130 countries.

GIZ supports the German Government in the fields of international cooperation for sustainable development and international education. Through its work, people and societies are assisted in shaping their own futures and improving living conditions. GIZ supports South Africa in reaching its goals as defined in the national
development plan.

GIZ is a funding partner of the Global Business Accelerator programme.
