Laser Junction is proud to announce the successful move of the entire business to a modern, purpose built 10,000msq factory situated at Dube Tradeport, the new premier light industrial area of KwaZulu-Natal.  This move commenced on October 2015 and the factory was fully operational by the start of 2016.

Dube Tradeport has been zoned by the government as an Industrial Development Zone (IDZ) and is expected to be upgraded to a Special Economic Zone (SEZ), with additional incentives and benefits for those companies operating in the manufacturing sectors.

The planning of a new factory commenced in early 2013 driven by the operational requirements to locate all of the manufacturing activities under one roof and to ensure adequate space was available for the long term expansion strategy of the company.  Lean Manufacturing principles will be implemented where possible for all applicable manufacturing processes.

The factory has been designed to utilise the maximum usuage of natural lighting and airflows to ensure comfortable working conditions for all staff.  The design includes open plan working areas for the administration function, staff training rooms, a modern canteen and staff relaxation areas.

Full use has been made of the work class IT infrastructure offered by Dube Tradeport.
