The Premier of KwaZulu-Natal has called on the youth of KwaZulu-Natal to unite and not allow themselves to be divided along political party lines.

Addressing a Youth Camp in Umfolozi Municipality today (15 November 2016) in the King Cetshwayo District Mchunu said it was necessary for today’s youth to work together in order to tackle societal challenges facing them.

“The youth must ask themselves what is it that divides them 22 years into democracy. It can’t be correct that the youth are still fighting wars that we fought in apartheid. We were able to defeat an epoch that was filled with oppression and destruction which saw many people being killed by being united. However 1994 brought a different epoch where the youth should be leading in the social and economic reconstruction of this country with no bitterness amongst each other,” said Mchunu
